My friend Lauren and I have joked that we are hopeless romantics. I don’t think the term is quite right though, I’m more of a hopeful romantic.

Always the optimist, I believe in love and that it’s waiting for me out there.

I am also fortunate and grateful to have been in love several times in the past. It’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved.

That doesn’t mean I don’t want love, I do, I just haven’t found my forever person yet. I have pondered whether there is one, and I do believe there is.

I have pondered whether to give up on the idea of one and accept an open lifestyle instead and have decided at this point that I’m going to hold out until my one and I make it happen.
